Dr. Ina Maxwell has been named the new director of Cumberland County Schools.
The board decided between four finalists at a special called meeting Monday night. Of the nine board members, seven voted to offer the position to Maxwell, while two board members split their votes between two different candidates.
Maxwell is currently the Federal Programs Director for Cumberland County Schools.
