/ The Upper Cumberland's News Leader

A 27-year old Cookeville man faces multiple charges after a Thursday morning accident along Interstate 40.

Martin Francisco faces charges of driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license. He also violated the open container laws, faces charging of following too closely, and driving without insurance. Francisco was traveling east along I-40 when a Mack Semi Truck slowed for traffic. Francisco failed to slow, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Francisco’s Honda Accord struck the truck in the rear, going up under it, according to observers. He was not injured.

The accident happened around 7:30 Thursday morning near mile marker 280 in Putnam County.
