Local Residents Have Donated More Than 1600 Masks

Local residents have donated more than 1,600 masks to Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

CRMC officials began asking for donations as the COVID-19 outbreak began, The medical center was going through some 1,100 masks every ten days. Local residents got to work creating hand-sewn masks to assist front line workers.

“What an amazing partnership with our community,” CEO Paul Korth said. “Individuals as well as businesses and different organizations donated masks over the past few weeks and we are very grateful here at the medical center.”

CRMC set a goal for 3,000 mask donations. Bins are located at the North Tower Entrance and East Entrance. The Medical Center also has instructions on its website on how to create masks.
