Preliminary Approval Of Willow Estates Subdivision

/ The Upper Cumberland's News Leader

The Putnam County Planning Commission approved the preliminary plat Tuesday night for a 28-lot subdivision off Ditty Road.

The Willow Estates development will be built off Sunbright Circle, a 7-lot subdivision built around a cul-de-sac. Planning Director Kevin Rush said the cul-de-sac would be extended some 1,220 feet for the new development. There are also concerns about the grade on some of the proposed roads.

The approval is contingent on developers bringing those roads back to the planning team prior to development.

The commission also approved the final plat of Westowne Estates, a 60-lot subdivision.

Commission Member Jim Martin said he hoped the group could return to in-person meetings next month. He said the commission loses some depth to its discussion with online meetings.
