Free touchless thermometers are available for local small businesses through Cookeville’s Biz Foundry.
Marketing Director Haley Smith said the Biz Foundry wants to provide an opportunity for small businesses who haven’t been able to get thermometers yet.
“The stores are actually out of them for the most part, and the touchless ones are quite a bit better than the ones you have to put in your mouth, obviously, if you’re owning a small business,” Smith said. “To test your employees, you want to make sure that it’s something that’s minimal contact. A touchless thermometer allows you to do that safely.”
Smith said any small business in Cookeville, Sparta, or McMinnville can request one. She said the foundry just needs an employee count and pick up time.
“We are doing a first come first serve,” Smith said. “Once we run out, we don’t really have a line on any more of them.”
