Warren Co. Mask Mandate Extended

/ The Upper Cumberland's News Leader

The Warren County mask mandate has extended until the end of September.

Executive Jimmy Haley said the decision will be evaluated weekly based on COVID numbers.

“We will continue to monitor that progress and give updates and reports as needed,” Haley said. “The numbers are showing some improvement, but we still must do our part to keep our children in school, our essential workers protected and our front line of defense workers safe.”

Haley said county buildings will be open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays with COVID precautions in place. All county meetings will continue to be held via Zoom.

“If you do enter one of our buildings, you will be required to wear a face mask. You will have your temperature checked,” Haley said. “You will sign in and sign out. You will abide by social distancing rules.”

The National Guard remains in Warren County to help conduct testing at the local health department. Warren County has 290 active cases.
