Three Missing Cumberland Persons Found Safe In Putnam

Three missing Cumberland County residents were found safe after getting lost in the Calfkiller Mountains.

69-year-old John Curley and 50-year-old Stacy Beasley were spotted by Putnam Sheriff deputies Tuesday, while 66-year-old Michael Lynn Curley was found Wednesday afternoon.

Putnam Sheriff Eddie Farris said the trio left their Mayland residence to ride ATV’s Monday night when they got lost and separated.

“The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office helicopter spotted the individuals on a trail,” Farris said. “And, so we were able to get rescue squad in there.”

Farris said the search continued for Michael Curley Wednesday morning. He said the Sheriff helicopter spotted Curley in a different part of the Calfkiller Mountains. All three individuals suffered no injuries.
