Home Lost in Putnam County Fire

/ The Upper Cumberland's News Leader

A Putnam County home has been completely destroyed by an early morning fire on Turkey Hollow Road.

Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown said fire crews dispatched Thursday at about 4:00 AM. No one was home at the time of the fire, and had collapsed by the time crews arrived on scene. The fire was discovered by the owners father, while the owner was at work. Brown said the home is a total loss because of the fire.

Brown said it’s too early to determine a cause for the fire. Because of the homes remote location, Brown said it did not affect anyone else’s surrounding property.
