Livingston Regional Hospital Offering Mammogram Discount

Livingston Regional Hospital is offering a reduced rate on mammograms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Director of Growth and Outreach David Cox said the hospital wants to remove the stress and incentivize women with a 75 dollar discount. A coupon for the discount is running in every newspaper in the Upper Cumberland. However, Cox said the hospital will get you this reduced rate under any circumstance.

“This coupon, wherever you have it, whether you printed it out, whether you clip it out of the newspaper, whether you don’t even have it we’re going to make sure we can give you that coupon,” Cox said. “No matter what the situation or anything we’re going to make sure you get that reduced rate of $75.”

Cox said more women die from breast cancer than any other form of cancer. Cox said encouraging women to be screened for breast cancer can affect everyone.

“So many of our mothers, wives, people in our family, we love them,” Cox said. “We want to make sure they are with us for a very, very long time.”

Cox said ads are running in newspapers throughout the first week of October. As well as saying, anyone should reach out to the hospital about the reduced rate if they do not get a newspaper.

“If you want to have a mammogram done at this reduced rate of $75 please just contact us,” Cox said. “We want to make sure that people are taken care of and we will have those coupons available for people when they come into the hospital.”

Women from the age of 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year according to The American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society suggests switching to every two years, or maintain yearly screenings for Women 55 or older .
