Van Buren County’s Angela and Ronnie Hitchcock will operate the newly built Fall Creek Falls’ gift shop and snack bar after winning both bids.
The couple will be in charge of the facilities for the next three years. State officials said the Hitchcock’s only faced competition from one other bidder for the gift shop. The revenues generated will be used to offset operational costs.
Expectations required of the winning bidder, include: respectful operational use of the provided park facility; carrying defined liability insurance; maintaining financial records and timely submission of monthly payments; and maintenance and repair of properties, facilities and equipment supplied under the agreement.
