Overton Man Charged With Statutory Rape

A Livingston man faces two charges of Aggravated Statutory Rape after a five-month investigation by multiple agencies.

The Overton County Sheriffs Department took 44-year-old Timothy C. Duke into custody Friday. Duke was booked into the Robertson County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bond.

The case began with a May tip to Tennessee Human Trafficking Hotline from management at a Springfield hotel. The Robertson County hotel management reported suspicious activity that appeared consistent with human trafficking. Management reported Duke were at the hotel with a juvenile.

Last month, a Robertson County Grand Jury returned charges against Duke.

The Human Trafficking Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Overton County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Children’s Services, and the 19th District Attorney General’s Office joined in the investigation.
