Alternative Parking for Overton County Early Voting

Overton County Elections Administrator Craig Story said his office did not know there would be paving work on the upper parking lot until Tuesday afternoon.

The parking lot paving began Wednesday, which is also the start of early voting in Tennessee.

Story said he believes the work has been finished up, but the fresh paving will be given some time before it’s reopened for voting. If anyone has concerns about accessing the building, Story said to reach out.

“If anyone has any problems as far as handicap accessibility issues or anything like that, I hope they call the office,” Story said. “Let us try and make some arrangements to make it as convenient for people as it possibly can be.”

Story said parking is opened up for early voting across the street at the new county services building, there are also still spaces at the Joe L. Evins Community Center and below at the museum.

Overton County’s early voting site is located in Livingston.
