Free Flu Clinics Begin Monday In Overton

Overton County residents have seven chances to get a free flu shot this week.

The Overton County Health Department will conduct seven drive-thru clinics this week. All are free. Overton County Health Department Nursing Supervisor Megan Reeder said it is more important than ever to get a flu shot.

“We want to encourage everyone to come out, hopefully that will save you some drive if you live out in the county,” Reeder said. “We’re thinking about you all and trying the best we can to make this available to get everybody vaccinated.”

Monday’s drive-thru clinics will be held at Wilson Elementary and A.H. Roberts Elementary. Tuesday will be at Rickman Elementary. Wednesday will be at Livingston Middle and Allons Elementary. Thursday will be at Hilham Elementary. Friday will be at Livingston Academy.

All drive-thru clinics will run from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

In addition, Health Department flu shots will be available from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
