John Rose will return to Washington to represent the sixth district.

Rose received 73 percent of the vote with Christopher Martin Finley collecting 23 percent. Rose said shortly after receiving the news of his victory, Finley called to congratulate him.

“I got a very kind call from Chris Finley the democratic candidate earlier, and I appreciate the  stand up way he has ran this race,” Rose said. “He offered his congratulations, and I appreciate that so much.”

The entire Upper Cumberland falls under the House of Representatives 6th district. Rose said he thanks the people of his district, especially the people of Putnam County, where Rose was raised.

“It is very humbling. It is very gratifying,” Rose said. “I appreciate so much the people here in Cookeville and Putnam County and all across the 6th district of Tennessee for their support.
