UC Airport Board Approves One-Time COVID Bonus

The Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Board approved a one-time Christmas/COVID-19 bonus to be distributed in December.

The board approved some $3,800 in money for the bonuses for airport staff. It will be paid for through state COVID relief money provided to the airport.

Airport Manager Dean Selby said the team worked through the pandemic without missing any time.

“Bonuses for those people who have been here through this whole thing and have really worked hard through this thing and just done a great job,” Selby said. “I don’t know what we would have done without them. I think they deserve that.”

The board also approved a first fee schedule for the airport. Selby said over the years, the board has approved fees for different functions, but they have never been compiled in one document.
