Tennessee Tech students are starting to move into the newly renovated all-female Cooper & Dunn Residence Hall.
Associate Vice President for Facilities Chuck Roberts said it was a $6 million dollar project to revamp the electric, plumbing and mechanical throughout. Roberts said there will be a new style to dorm rooms and a unique addition to the ground floor.
“It also gave it kind of a new face lift for the rooms as well,” Roberts said. “It incorporated a new classroom for a live and learn area on the ground floor.”
The live and learn area will offer programs based on a specific theme and promote social and educational opportunities right where students live. Roberts said Cooper & Dunn Residence Halls will house 210 students in one building, broken up into two separate wings.
