Clay County Appoints New EMA Director

The Clay County Commission appointed a new county EMA Director as former director Natalie Boone accepted a job with TEMA.

Mayor Dale Reagan said Celina paramedic Kyle Haney will take over the position.

“And he still works with the ambulance service here in the county,” Reagan said. “Kyle is also on a fire department and we have just known him. He is also our medical investigator for the county.”

Reagan said the replacement was not related to the Cumberland River Hospital miscommunications. The commission unanimously voted for Haney during Monday’s meeting. Haney’s contract lasts until the end of 2021.

“We are certainly looking forward to Kyle’s new position, and I know he is excited about it,” Reagan said. “We certainly want to wish Natalie and thank her for her years of service.”
