Clay HS Applies Stricter Limits For Friday’s Basketball Game

Clay County High School will be limiting capacity to a third for Friday’s home game against Eagleville.

Principal Teia Arms said a combination of the school going virtual and rising COVID numbers the reason.

“This is actually one of our local rules,” Arms said. “Because, we have went virtual this week due to a rise in our county. So that is why we ended up having stricter rules for this particular game.”

Arms said about 300 fans will be allowed inside with no tickets sold at the doors. Season and TSSAA passes will be accepted, as well. Every player and cheer leader will have two tickets each to distribute.

“We are putting these new rules into place not to hurt our fans, because we love our fans,” Arms said. “We have a great fan base. They travel with us well. This is just simply due to either we had to put strict limits on this game in particular, or we would have to cancel it.”

Arms said concessions will be limited to prepackaged foods. Temperatures will be checked, and mask are required.
