Crossville Water Line Extension Up For Vote Next Week

A 1200-foot water line extension will be up for a vote during next week’s Crossville City Council Meeting.

The extension is on Ernest Neal Road and has already been approved by the city’s planning commission. City Engineer Tim Begley said he does not expect any maintenance or installation issues for the project, and Crossville will take over the water line if the project is approved and completed.

“After it’s pressure tested and chlorinated and met all of the criteria and inspected, we’ll take it over,” Begley said.

The project cost stands over $11,000. Begley said the project would be inspected during construction. Begley said this is to ensure the correct materials are used and backfilling is done properly.

The Ernest Neal Road water line extension will be up for a vote next Tuesday.
