A Livingston man was shot early Sunday morning after approaching a residence to start an altercation, according to Livingston Police.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Chris Melton was shot by home owner Robert Richardson on Fairview Lane. Melton suffered wounds consistent to a gun shot and was transferred to Vanderbilt for treatment.
The reason of the dispute was not shared by law enforcement. The case remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department for review by the District Attorney’s office.
