Power crews are out this Sunday morning across the Upper Cumberland working to restore power.
Heavy wet snow blanketed the region overnight. Some ice also being reported on trees.
Volunteer Energy reports more than 3,400 Cumberland County residents without power as of 8am Sunday. That’s roughly 10 percent of the company’s customers in Cumberland County. Some 1,330 Fentress County residents are without power. The biggest concentration of outages in Fentress County is around Jamestown.
Volunteer Energy also reports scattered outages in Putnam and White Counties.
Cookeville Electric crews are also working outages as of 8am around the Cookeville City Limits.
Putnam County Sheriffs Department reports roads across the county are icy and snow-covered. Residents are encouraged to stay in Sunday morning as crews work on the road. Temperatures above freezing will also help with melting.
Monterey Police report main roads mainly wet Sunday morning. Livingston’s Main Street and Highway 111 are wet. Overton County secondary roads are still snow-covered.
