Cookeville City Court Cases Continued To April 13 At CPAC

If you had a case in Cookeville City Court between November and March, your court date has arrived.

Cases have been continued until April 13th at CPAC. City Judge David Ledbetter said this is for anyone with a court date between November 1, 2020 and March 30, 2021. Ledbetter said there is still time to try and settle these cases outside of court.

“There have been several start and stops, cases would be conducted and then they would be delayed,” Ledbetter said. “Then cases would be continued and they might be delayed again. This is just an effort to catch up with all of those that have not been otherwise satisfied.”

Ledbetter said that people can make arrangements for things like driving school to avoid appearing in court on April 13. He said anyone trying to take action on their case needs to contact the City Court Clerk at (931) 520-5254.

Ledbetter said the Tennessee State Supreme Court makes the rules for opening in-person court proceedings. Residents need to be aware that COVID protocols for safety will be in place at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center.
