Visitations will resume Saturday at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex.
The decision comes from the Tennessee Department of Corrections, which is allowing scheduled appointments for all facilities based on community COVID numbers and vaccine efforts.
Public Information Officer Robert Reburn said the facility is excited to bring back face to face visits after being absent for a whole year.
“We want to thank the family members who have been extremely patient throughout this process,” Reburn said. “We know how difficult it has been, and we know how important visitation is. It is critical to our mission as a department that those familiar bonds stay intact.”
Reburn said appointments can be made by calling the Bledsoe facility. Visitors must be 18 years or older. Masks and COVID screens are required.
