SlideCKVL, Cookeville’s two-day summer water party, has been cancelled.
The annual event was cancelled due to continued concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19. Traditionally, the event features a thousand-foot waterslide on Broad Street that attracts thousands of visitors during Independence Day weekend.
This is the second year the event is cancelled due to COVID, but Mayor Ricky Shelton said the fireworks display will be “bigger and better than ever.”
Full details will be released in May.
