Several commercial buildings in the Woodlawn Road area in Crossville suffered damage from Tuesday’s storm.

Fire Chief Chris South said high winds blew out multiple storm and roll up doors that flew into adjacent buildings.

“These are two commercial businesses in our area that were affected,” South said. “We’ve had some additional roof damage to another business located by the Crossville Factory Outlet Mall.”

South said there is no confirmation of a tornado touching down, but trained weather spotters did report rotation. South said Woodlawn Road is the only report of damage in the city at this time.

Further into the county, high winds also affected the areas of Fairfield Glade and Pleasant Hill, according to EMA Assistant Director Chris Cox.

“The only area so far that we know of that there has been damage is possibly Pleasant Hill,” Cox said. There is some tree damage that I have seen so far in the Fairfield Glade.”

No injuries were reported by the county or city after the storm, as well as, no downed power lines or impassable roads. Crews are continuing damage evaluations throughout the day and ask residents to be mindful of more storms later Tuesday.
