Tennessee Tech plans to upgrade New Hall South’s HVAC systems next summer.
Vice President for Facilities and Business Services Chuck Roberts said the project includes adding a dehumidification mode to each dorm room.
“This should help out with some humidification that we’ve had,” Roberts said. “We’ve had to stay after it for the past couple of years. This should help out and make it a little bit easier for us and also improve the environment in New Hall South.”
Roberts said the estimated $880,000 project will be university funded, but still needs state approval before starting the design phase. Roberts said the improvements should be completed by the time students return next fall.
