Tech Sets New Record After Raising $22 million


Tennessee Tech has set a new fundraising record, with over $22 million being committed to the university.

In the fiscal year ending June 30, $6 million alone in money towards student scholarships was raised. The total includes cash, pledges, stocks and gifts.

Tech’s new engineering building continued to be attract donor support towards the university’s flagship college. $4.34 million was raised towards the engineering building project.

99 percent of the total giving has restricted use. That means the donor specified that funds can only be used towards things directly specified.

65 percent of donors were alumni. The university received 6,949 gifts from 4,351 donors.
