Tennessee Tech has received a $2.3 million investment for one of its engineering programs.

The United State Department of Energy provided the funding for the Industrial Assessment Centers program. Tech is one of 32 universities selected.

It offers no-cost energy efficiency recommendations to manufactures and water treatment plants. Twenty students will take part in the program this year; two doctoral students, three master’s students and 15 undergraduates.
