The Overton County School System has made its COVID Dashboard readily available on its website.
Director of Schools Donnie Holman said he has fielded numerous calls from parents concerned about the district’s COVID rate. Holman said this is an effort for transparency and putting parents at ease when sending kids into the classroom.
“I know that when it pertains to student health, everyone is concerned,” Holman said. “That’s why we wanted this link to be where everyone could find it and could have access to this.”
Holman said the COVID Dashboard is listed under the parent tab of the system’s website. He said it will be updated weekly, with new data becoming available every Tuesday morning.
Holman said the district currently has 18 COVID positive students and one positive staff member.
