McMinnville PD Says Citation Management Software Aids In Efficiency

McMinnville Police Department said that using Courtware Government Software Solutions has made their day-to-day operations much smoother.

The city of Algood approved a license agreement to begin using the software at its meeting Tuesday. McMinnville Lieutenant Ben Davis said that the citation management system controls where citations come in and whether it needs to go to municipal or general courts.

“And if we’re gonna actually have to change court dates or something like that happens like what has happened during the pandemic,” Davis said. “And areas that you’re going to go to court and all those things change, you can generate a letter and sent out a mass letter or email or text messages to the numbers that you have. So it has helped us in that area.”

Davis said that having efficient court software helps both citizens and officials. He said it aids in preventing things like unpaid fines from falling through the cracks.

Davis said that the software has been in use for some time, and that it works so well they have no plans on changing it any time soon. He said that if a municipality was considering getting software, he would go with Courtware.

“As a matter of fact our records management system isn’t through them, but we kept them. We like the way they do business on e-tickets and then we just manage with our MS package that we have and it integrates to Courtware and our clerk really likes it and didn’t want that change.”
