Thursday Morning Collision Leaves One Dead In Clay


A Clay County collision Thursday morning left one person dead.

According to a report from Tennessee Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Terry Dyer of Red Boiling Spring was traveling westbound on Bakerton Road in a 2005 Nissan around 10 a.m. The report states Dyer lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve, and crossed the center line where he struck 62-year-old Michael Brown of Celina head-on.

The report states that Brown sustained no injuries. Dyer died on the scene.
