Putnam County 911 said it has received several reports of a Verizon Wireless outage in the area.
At this time, other carriers affected are unknown and there is no known cause reported to Tennessee 911 carriers. 911 calls are not impacted if a reliable signal is available to a subscriber phone.
Putnam 911 asks to ensure that you and your loved ones have a way to contact emergency services if needed.
