Monterey has restarted the process to buy a new brush truck after the initial bid winner could not honor the purchase contract.
Mayor JJ Reels said the company could not find the desired truck brand and offered a different one. But then, came back weeks later with the right truck some $15,000 over the approved bid.
The Board of Aldermen decided Monday to not accept and reopen the bid process.
