A garage fire at 1571 McClain Road resulted in a total loss of the building.
Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown said that responders were there for some three hours to take care of the fire. He said that they believe it was caused by some kind of wood stove located near the front of the structure.
Brown said that there were no injuries, but there was a loss of a vehicle, tools, and other items inside the building.
