Tennessee Highway Patrol Announces Enforcement Plan For NYE Holiday


Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct a strict traffic safety enforcement campaign during the 2021 New Year’s Eve holiday period.

State troopers will perform traffic saturation patrols, seat belt, sobriety, and driver’s license checkpoints during the holiday.

During last year’s holiday period, nine people were killed in eight traffic crashes on Tennessee roadways.

The period begins on December 31st at 6 p.m. and concludes on January 2nd at noon.
