District Two Coordinator Mike Rodts said the service is available for moderate to low income people of all ages.

“AARP Foundation provides the organization, but it’s also mainly funded by the IRS,” Rodts said. “The intention of that is to provide a free to the user income tax preparation and service.”

Rodts said the service is available appointment only through April. Rodts said you can visit www.aidintax.com to schedule a time at the Fairfield Glade Police Department, Crossville Art Circle Library, Cookeville Public Library, Sparta Senior Center or Jamestown Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Rodts said participants should bring all tax documents that record income. Rodts said a record of stimulus checks would also be helpful.
