A Cookeville man has been charged with murdering his fiancée after she was found dead in her 12th Street apartment over the weekend.
23-year-old Lyndzy Bounds was allegedly killed by Christian Luna. Luna was arrested Monday in Carencro, Louisiana where he will be held until extradition.
The Cookeville Police Department initiated an investigation after finding Bounds deceased during a welfare check Sunday. Shortly after, Luna was identified as the suspect followed by a warrant for Luna’s arrest for first degree murder.
Bounds, formerly of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, and Luna, formerly of Lafayette, became engaged on Christmas.
