“It’s just a  fun way to give back to your community, it’s a good way to get volunteer hours that you need when you go off to college,” McCowan said. “So the volunteer hours is a big reason. We also have a scholarship that we give out each year to one of our seniors who have graduated.”

On events, they get to pick the events they work the entire fair week. Whether it be a pageant show, or a goat show, anything that they put down. We have office runners, which is kind of a like gofer, where they just help when needed.”

McCowan said that applications are available for pick up at Overton schools with the proper age group. She said that applications are due March 4th.
