Cookeville Adopts New City Flag

Cookeville City Council adopted a new city flag.

Police Chief Randy Evans said that they designed the flag using the new city seal.

“We took the seal and we found what we thought was a contrasting background, and of course, we’re a fan of navy blue, right, and I just think it worked,” Evans said. “And everyone seemed excited about it, and I think it’ll do us proud. ”

City Manager James Mills said that the old flag adopted in 1986 will go to the Cookeville History Museum for the community’s viewing.
