Putnam Election Commission Seeking New Location For Poplar Grove Precinct

Putnam County Election Commission working on finding a new location for the Poplar Grove Precinct.

The precinct currently operates out of the Poplar Grove Community Center. Commission Chair Phil Adams said that as the precinct has outgrown the community center, they would like to look at the Poplar Grove Baptist Church as a potential new location.

“We think that would be a great location, it’s a fairly modern church, it would meet handicap requirements, it’s got a nice parking lot, much nicer than the community center,” Adams said. “But if anyone knows of anything in that area just call the office here, we’d appreciate any input.”

Elections Administrator Michele Honeycutt said that a more suitable location needs to be found at least a month before the elections so they can send new voter registration cards.
