New Appointment Reminders System For Health Department Patients

Overton County is one of 14 health departments that have launched new appointment reminder systems.

Office Manager Liz Huggins said that the auto-dialer system will allow patients to more easily confirm or reschedule appointments.

“This allows us to know what we’re looking for,” Huggins said. “Like yes, we’re coming or no. And that way we can reach out to those ones that are not coming that for some reason are having to reschedule and things like that. ”

Huggins said that the reminder system is offered in all of the health department’s services. She said that this includes primary care, general clinics, and the WIC program.

Huggins said that folks will still be able to call in for anything they might need regarding their appoints. She said that if anyone has questions, they can reach the department at 931-823-6260.
