Crossville has earned the designation as a Tree City USA for its 22nd year.
The Arbor Day Foundation honors communities that effectively manage urban forestry.
The city achieved this by operating a tree board, creating a tree-care ordinance, maintaining a community forestry budget and observing Arbor Day.
The Arbor Day Foundation is an American 501 nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees. The Arbor Day Foundation has more than one million members and has planted more than 350 million trees in neighborhoods, communities, cities and forests throughout the world.
