Overton Election Commission Approve Qualifying Ballots

Overton County Election Commission finalized the ballots on Tuesday for the upcoming election season.

Administrator of Elections Craig Story said that one office with a later qualifying deadline pushed back the commission’s ability to approve.

“The next thing that all the counties will do is get ballot approval from the state,” Story said. “And then it won’t be long after that until we start sending out ballots to permanent absentee lists and military and citizens that are overseas, and getting ready for early voting.”

Story said that for the upcoming elections, the Monroe precinct will move from the community center to the firehouse because of construction. He said that those affected should have already received notification cards.
