Charges are pending following the death of one in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning on Cookeville Boatdock Road.
30-year-old Coty Buckmaster was traveling with 32-year-old Rebecca Copley and four juvenile passengers in a 2004 GMC Yukon. Buckmaster then attempted to pass the vehicle in front of him in a no-pass zone where he struck 72-year-old Jesse Massa head-on.
All individuals were transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Massa’s injuries were deemed fatal.
The investigation is still ongoing.
