“I Heart Tech” Initiative Raises Over $173K For Student Causes

Tennessee Tech’s “I Heart Tech” initiative raised some $173,262 for student-focused causes.

The initiative was originally started in 2019. This year, the dean of each college identified one or more areas that could benefit from private support, and causes ranged from scholarships and emergency grants to student travel funds.

Gifts ranged from $5 to $29,000 and supported more than 103 different programs on campus. The 2022 effort highlighted areas that keep students enrolled during tough times: Tech’s food pantry, ASPIRES, Eagle Assistance Grant and Eagles Wing Veterans Center.
