This Week Monterey Aldermen Consider HVAC Bids, Clay Commission Works On ARP Spending


This Week in the Upper Cumberland the Monterey Board of Aldermen will consider bids for HVAC work at city buildings.

The town wants to install new units at City Hall and the Police Department. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Monday.

The Cookeville City Council will have a work session Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The White County Planning Commission will consider action on a 15-lot subdivision. The preliminary plat is located on Duck Pond Road. The meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

The Livingston Board of Aldermen will hear a report from its Downtown Revitalization committee Monday. Aldermen will also consider purchasing mosquito control equipment. Business begins at city hall at 6:00 p.m.

The Clay County Commission will continue work on its ARP spending plan. The county is targeting improvements for its emergency response departments, solid waste and parks. Commissioners will also hear a report from the Ambulance Committee that meets right before the county court Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, the Crossville City Council will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m. City officials will work on a CDBG grant application to improve the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

Council members will also discuss a roof replacement at the city’s maintenance building and a grant to purchase police body cameras.

The Putnam County Planning Commission will consider a preliminary plat to create 10 lots on West Cemetery Road. Commissioners will discuss the subdivision at its meeting Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, the Putnam County Board of Education meets at 5:00 p.m. at Central Office. The Sparta Board of Aldermen meets Thursday as well at 5:00 p.m.
