The Putnam County Health Department is now offering the 2nd COVID booster shot at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.
Director Lisa Bumbalough said the department has a “sufficient supply” of Pfizer shots.
“The folks that are eligible for those are any adult 50 and older and any adult 18 and older who has an immunocompromised immune system,” Bumbalough said. “It also must be four months from your first booster.”
The drive-thru clinic at the Fairgrounds on South Walnut Ave is open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 5:00 p.m.
Bumbalough said the department asks all recipients to bring their vaccine card.
No appointments are required to receive the free booster.
