This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Budget Committee will continue work for the new fiscal year Monday.
Chair Ben Rogers is set to share suggestions as to how the county can lower requested expenditures. As it stands, the county is about $4.5 million in the hole. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
The Byrdstown Board of Aldermen will meet Monday at 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, the Celina Board of Aldermen will meet at 5:00 p.m.
The Algood City Council will consider paving bids to supply projects for the remainder of the calendar year. Business begins at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, Highlands Residential Services will consider the sale of its Claude Darwin Property. The 11.5 acres off Walnut Avenue use to be the site of low-income housing. The meeting begins at noon.
The Sparta Board of Aldermen will meet at 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
The Overton County Budget Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Members will work towards passing the spending plan in time for the June 27th Commission meeting.
