Tennessee Disaster Response Team Collection Items For Kentucky Flood Victims

The Tennessee Disaster Response Team is collecting donations for Kentucky flood victims.

Team Leader Ken Hall said this trip marks 110 disasters the team will respond to since its inception. He said they are seeking canned goods, dog and cat food, and other non-perishable items to bring to Whitesburg, Kentucky on Friday morning.

“When the tornado struck Cookeville in 2020, a lot of the people that came to help us were people we helped in other states,” Hall said. “So it’s kind of you give and you get in return.”

Donations can be dropped off at the team’s trailer located at Monterey First Baptist Church before Thursday evening. Hall said they are not excepting clothing or other fabric items.
