13th District Gets New Circuit Court Judge, Sherrell Keeps House Seat


The 13th District has a new Circuit Court Judge in William Ridley.

Ridley got 62.1 percent of the vote in a defeat against Incumbent Amy Hollars.

The Tennessee House District 43 Primary Race saw a close battle. Incumbent Paul Sherrell held his seat by less than 100 votes. He received 4,636 votes. Candidate Bobby Robinson received 4,563 votes.

State Representative Terri Lynn Weaver will no longer serve the 43rd District. Candidate Michael Hale received 59.5 percent while Weaver tallied 40.4 percent of the vote.
